Last week, our co-founder Lina Keßler (née Krawietz) had the honor of moderating a powerful panel discussion on the future of inclusive and ethical AI featuring Mia Shah-DandCamila Lombana-Diaz, and Elena Poughia.

The event was organized by Camila Lombana-Diaz in collaboration with Women in AI Ethics™ and hosted by Æthos at CIC (Cambridge Innovation Center) Berlin. It brought together voices advocating for a more just and community-driven AI ecosystem.

Among the key takeaways:

🔹 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 – not a value to be added later

🔹 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗯𝘀𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲 if not critically examined

🔹 𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗳𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗜 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗳𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟵𝟵%, not just the usual players

We’re grateful to see powerful changemakers taking on the challenge of shaping an inclusive AI future. Conversations like these are essential to ensure that AI is not just innovative but also fair, transparent, and inclusive by design. Building AI that works for everyone. Not just the loudest or most powerful voices.
